Resources

  • Check in 24 hours prior to your flight. Check your flight times to make sure they have not changed.
  • Arrange your transportation to the airport (or make sure you gas tank is full!).
  • Sign up for text messages to your phone for any changes to flights.
  • Don’t forget your passport!
  • All resorts will hold a certain amount on your credit card when you check in. Any charges to your room will be taken from this amount, anything remaining will be refunded back to your account.
  • Be sure and check updated information on the resort website (linked in this itinerary) and CDC website.
  • Check in with your bank and phone service. Let the bank know you will be traveling, and ask the phone service if you need to purchase additional travel data plans. (Ours is $10/day when we use it in Mexico.)
  • You may wish you put your mail services on hold while you are away. You can do this online here: https://www.usps.com/manage/hold-mail.htm

Starting in 2025, U.S. citizens are required to have a travel authorization to enter Italy via an online application with the European Travel Information and Authorization system (ETIAS), a travel security program. Submit online application for approval at least 96 hours prior to departure at https://etias.com/etias-application. Cost is 7 euro per person. Approved visas must be presented when boarding flights.
